The department of English started functioning since year 1923 ,i.e.the from the establishment of the college. It has witnessed a long list of brilliant faculty members and alumni.

Co-Curricular Activities
- The Department has an English literary club, under which various activities such elocution,debate,poetry recitation is undertaken Apart from regular teaching, additional knowledge is given to the students through various clubs such as 1.Grammar and Vocabulary club looked after by Dr. Khan Shaista Talat,
