The Department of Political Science & Public Administration is as old as the institution.
The study of Political Science as a subject started since the establishment of college i.e. 1923. In the beginning the Department of
History & Political Science was a combined Department.
The subject Political Science was separated from History and the Department of Political Science was established in 1966.
The Public Administration subject was started in 1969 combined with Political Science. Prof. Bari was the first Head of combined dept Prof. Murti was first professor in Public Administration.
