About Department
The Department of English has been functioning since the establishment of the College. English as a compulsory, additional and optional subject is very important for the students of Arts stream and Science stream as well. It enables students to improve their language skills-writing, reading and listening.The subject of English at senior college level deals with the study of fiction and non-fiction Prose, Poetry, Novels and Drama as a form. It also studies the language as a means of communication and a tool useful for creating and developing creative writing. It includes the thorough study of Language and Literature.The Dept. of English and its Ph.D. holder faculty members are continuously engaged in teaching-learning and research for the best outcome.

Co-Curricular Activities
The formation of the English Literary Organization is a regular activity of the Department through which learners are motivated to participate in scholarly lectures and various activities related to creative writing. Students participate in Elocution and poetry reading programs and contribute their literary creation to College Magazine-NAVRAS.
