National Cadet Corps

The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps with its headQuarters at New Delhi. It is open to school and college students on a voluntary basis. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and Universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements in the corps.In 1955, the NCC in Govt.college of Arts & Science Aurangabad was established under of 51 Maharashtra battalion Aurangabad .the capacity of this unit is 53 cadets for senior division. The training period of NCC is 3 years. The cadets have to pass 2 exams that are ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificates. ‘C’ certificate holders can join the Indian army without giving the written exam as well have the opportunity to join SSB, CRPF, ITBP, BSF, CISF and private companies like Reliance, Sahara group in India.

Our aim is to develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, and secular outlook, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and ideals of selfless service among the youth of the country. To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life and always be available for the service of the nation. Govt.college of Arts & Science Aurangabad NCC department organized various social, cultural, awareness and environmental programs like;

Social: Blood donation, Election duty, Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan.

Cultural: Dahihandi, Kojagiri pornima.

Awareness: Anti-drug rally, AIDS rally, Traffic safety rally, Pulse polio.

Environmental: Tree plantation, Cleaning program, Waste management seminar.

Adventure Tracking (Gogababa hill, Daulatabad fort Range) Para sliding.

1. To develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizens.
2. To create a human resource of organized trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed Forces and be always available for the service of the nation.
